Karen: "Well I say we make a pretty good team, eh?"
Warren: "I've always said that although we have our differences, we are both great at what we do. We can now focus our efforts within a time frame. This is the first big break we've had in weeks!"
[Mike enters the situation room]
Mike: "Sorry to interupt, but do you have Dominic's access codes for the sub net? I'm still trying to transfer some of his files over to my station."
Warren: "Oh right. Give me a second to find them in the archive room. I apologize for the delay. Losing Dominic was a tough pill to swallow, he was one of our best. You've got some pretty big shoes to fill kid."
Mike: "Trust me Warren, after what these bastards did to my mom, I'm ready to find them and get my revenge."
Karen: "That's the spirit Mike. You're mom would have been proud."
Warren: "Now if you'll excuse me, Lisa has been bugging me all day to meet with her. This is sure to be another story for the water cooler."
[It is now 4:47PM at Homeland as Brian and Solomon fix themselves some coffee at the break room]
Solomon: "I'll have two sugars please. I like my coffee like I like my men; strong yet sweet
"
Brian: "...Right. [pours sugar in] So not to be a gossip or anything, but aren't you worried that you're little affair with Mike might get you into some trouble?"
Solomon: "Gurl, what you trying to say, I'm a child molester? Me and Mike are in love, and you can't put an age limit on that. It's only illegal if he doesn't like it. And trust me...he likes it."
Brian: "You sure are blunt about you're feelings."
Solomon: "Well as a proud gay man, I have to be if I want things to change. Hiding my love for another man isn't going to help legalize gay marriage now is it?"
Brian: "I guess not. Well you're making progress out in Cali it seems."
Solomon: "Amen to that! I just hope the mole doesn't get me before I can see some change over here in Washington."
Brian: "I'm with you on that one man." [Brian finishes mixing his coffee with some creamer and sits down at the break table]
[It is now 4:49PM at Homeland as Warren finally meets up with Lisa]
Warren: "Okay what is it Lisa? [notices tears in Lisa's eyes] Lisa...are you...crying?"
Lisa: "You fucking douchebag. What, latinas aren't allowed to get emotional?"
Warren: "Yeah, yeah, you're a latina we get it. Now what do you want that's so important?"
Lisa: "I can't take anymore of this bullshit! I've worked here for 6 years now, and I loved my job until about a month ago. This place has turned into a fucking slasher movie, and I'm not going to stick around to see who gets the axe next."
Warren: "Lisa, I understand. We are all under a lot of pressure. But you know I can't let you just walk out of here. We've amped our security up big time since Dominic's death, things are a lot safer now."
Lisa: "You expect me to believe that load of crap? If you won't let me leave, I'll take care of this mess myself!" [storms off]
[It is now 4:53PM as Karen helps Mike with Dominic's access codes]
Karen: "13892. That should be the last one Michael."
Mike: "Michael? Gosh Karen, you haven't called me that since I was what, 7 years old?"
Karen: "Haha I know, it kind of slipped. What can I say, even though you're grown, I can't help but feel like your nanny again."
Mike: "What is that supposed to mean? I know my mom died, but I can take care of myself."
Karen: "No, no not like that, well at least not entirely. I just can't help but feel like I should protect you from any danger, although we've well surpassed stranger danger now haven't we?"
Mike: "Yeah I think the whole nanny deal changes when there is a murderer on the loose."
Karen: "What I'm trying to say is that since you're mom isn't here, I can't help but feel like I should watch over you. I'm not trying to replace Martha, I'm just trying to be a friend."
Mike: "And I appreciate it Karen. But don't worry about me, I'll be fine. I won't run off at the supermarket or ride my bike without a helmet. Besides, the less we are connected, the better chance we can both get through these weeks unharmed."
Karen: "I guess you have a point. You've grown up into a fine young man, Mike. [awkward silence] Well I'll stop with the sappy conversation and get back to work. You've got a lot of files to transfer over."
Mike: "Yeah I think I'm gonna grab a soda and pump some caffeine into my system before tackling all of this."
[It is now 4:56PM at Homeland as Lisa paces back and forth in one of the conference rooms]
Lisa: "I can't believe it's even come to this. Nobody fucking understands what I've gone through, not a clue. Dominic was my only friend at Homeland...and really my only friend period. I've got nobody now. No family, no friends, nothing...except my dogs. I'm pathetic. [pops open a bottle of pills from her purse] Maybe by doing this I can save someone else here. Not like I owe these assholes anything, but it might buy them some time and give them the resources to catch these traitors. That's all I ever wanted, was to protect Americans from racist terrorists."
[Brian walks in and notices Lisa's running mascara and her holding the bottle of pills]
Brian: "Lisa? ...What are you doing?"
Lisa: "None of your fucking business! Now get out before I personally escort you out. And I can promise you, you won't enjoy that.
Brian: "Lisa why don't we sit down and talk? You've got a lot on your plate right now. Look at all of the things you've got going for you. You're inte-
Lisa: "Spit it out dumbass! [Lisa notices Brian's eyes roll in the back of his head] Don't pull that exorcist shit with me. [Brian falls to the ground, shattering his coffee cup. He begins convulsing] Somebody come quick! [Lisa triggers the lockdown alarm]
Solomon: "O.M.G. What happened Ms. Wanna-Be-Lean Cuisine?!"
Lisa: "I don't fucking know, he needs some help though faggot."
Solomon: [checks pulse] "..."
Lisa: "What?!"
Solomon: "I can't help him."
Lisa: "You incompetent idiot. I'll do CPR."
Solomon: "Lisa...you can't help him. He's dead."
